These terms govern your use of Peekly’s API, browser extension, and website (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them.
Peekly is a browser extension that shows a preview card — title, description, image, and provider-specific data — for links on search-results pages, and opens a link’s real page in an overlay on request. Previews are fetched directly by your browser, not by a Peekly server. Peekly is not affiliated with GitHub, YouTube, Reddit, or any other site it previews, and does not control or vouch for the accuracy of the content those sites return.
You’re responsible for the security of your account, your license key, and any AI provider key you add in Settings. Don’t share your license key — it’s tied to a 2-device limit (see Section 4), and don’t commit an AI provider key to a public repository or share it publicly. You’re responsible for all activity under your account and keys, whether or not you performed it yourself.

Paid plans (Plus, Pro) are a one-time purchase for lifetime access to that tier, including free updates — there is no subscription and nothing renews automatically. Payment is processed by StreamPay; we never see or store your full card number.
A license key can be active on 1 device (Plus) or 2 devices (Pro) at a time. You can deactivate a device from your dashboard to free up a slot, for example when you replace a computer. We don’t offer refunds once a license has been activated, except where required by law; contact [email protected]if something’s gone wrong with a purchase.
Peekly is an early-stage product. We work to keep the API available and fast, but during this period we don’t guarantee uptime except where a specific plan states an uptime commitment. Scheduled maintenance and third-party outages (the sites we preview, our hosting providers) can affect availability.
Peekly owns the Service, including its API, extension, and website. You retain ownership of any data you submit to us. Content returned by the preview API (titles, images, article text) belongs to the original site, not to Peekly; you’re responsible for using it in a way that respects that site’s own terms and copyright.
The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee that preview data is accurate, complete, or safe to display without your own judgment: it reflects whatever the target page returned when your browser fetched it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peekly isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
We may update these terms as the Service changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above; continued use after a change means you accept the update.
